Newcastle Bridge Club was founded in 1935 by Ewart Kempson. The Club first met in the Chronicle Hall. From there it moved to the Liberal Club, Barrack Road, then under the Railway Bridge in Gateshead, next to Jesmond Road, then to St. James Church Hall and lastly to our current premises at West Denton Association.
